Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resource Intern to support our dynamic HR team. This role offers hands-on experience across core HR functions in a fast-paced, people-first organization. You'll assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and administrative operations that contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture. By working closely with HR professionals, you'll help ensure compliance, maintain accurate employee records, and support initiatives that strengthen talent acquisition and retention. Responsibilities:
- Assist with end-to-end recruitment, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
- Support new hire onboarding by preparing documentation, setting up workstations, and guiding employees through orientation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in the HRIS, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Help plan and execute employee engagement activities, wellness programs, and company events.
- Prepare HR reports such as attendance logs, leave summaries, and workforce analytics.
- Support compliance efforts by adhering to labor laws, company policies, and industry standards.
- Assist in developing and updating HR policies, forms, and procedural documents.
- Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, and meeting coordination.
- Respond to employee inquiries about payroll, benefits, and leave, escalating as needed.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and effective time management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with HRIS platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and the regional language (as applicable).
- Basic understanding of employment laws, labor regulations, and HR best practices.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Enthusiastic learner, adaptable to change, and collaborative in team environments.
- Available for a minimum of $internship_duration months, with flexible availability as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior internship or volunteer experience in HR, administration, or office support.
- Familiarity with Indian labor laws (e.g., Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act) is a plus.
- Experience using job platforms such as LinkedIn, Naukri, or Indeed.
