Job Description

Role Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced EHS Manager to lead / support Environment, Health & Safety operations across our commercial & residential real estate portfolio across Pan India. The role involves ensuring statutory compliance, managing fire safety operations, and leading a team of Fire Officers to maintain a safe, compliant, and sustainable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

EHS Governance & Compliance

  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and standards aligned with statutory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable EHS laws and regulations, including fire safety, environmental norms, and occupational health standards.
  • Maintain and update statutory registers, licenses, and approvals (e.g., Fire NOC, Consent to Operate, Hazardous Waste Authorization, etc.).
  • Implement and maintain management systems in line with ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety Management).

Fire Safety Management

  • Provide subject matter expert to the site Fire & Safety Officers to manage multiple commercial sites.
  • Conduct fire risk assessments, fire drills, and emergency preparedness programs.
  • Ensure maintenance and readiness of fire protection systems and coordinate with local fire authorities.

Incident Management

  • Investigate incidents and near misses; recommend and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain incident records and prepare monthly EHS performance dashboards.

Training & Awareness

  • Conduct EHS induction and periodic training for employees, contractors, and vendors.
  • Drive safety culture through awareness campaigns and behavioral safety initiatives.

Audits & Inspections

  • Plan and conduct internal EHS audits and inspections.
  • Support external audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.

Sustainability & Environmental Initiatives

  • Support external audits and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering / science / environmental studies.
  • Diploma in Industrial Safety (mandatory).
  • Minimum 5 years of EHS experience, preferably in commercial real estate, facilities management, or infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
  • Proven track record in managing statutory compliance and fire safety operations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of EHS regulations, ISO standards, and fire safety codes.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and EHS management systems.

Preferred Certifications:

  • NEBOSH IGC / IOSH-MS
  • First Aid / Fire Safety certifications
