About the Role
Boston Institute of Analytics (BIA) is hiring a Trainer Sourcing & Empanelment Specialist to build and scale a strong network of industry trainers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and corporate facilitators across high-demand domains.
This role sits at the intersection of talent acquisition, L&D, and corporate training, where your core responsibility will be to identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage expert trainers for both academic programs and enterprise (B2B) training engagements.
If you have experience in trainer hiring, SME sourcing, freelance consultant onboarding, or L&D partnerships, this role gives you direct exposure to building a high-quality trainer ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
1. Trainer Sourcing & SME Identification
- Source and engage freelance trainers, corporate facilitators, consultants, and subject matter experts across domains like
- Data Science, AI, GenAI, Cybersecurity
- Cloud & DevOps, Digital Marketing
- Investment Banking, Finance, Business Analytics
- Use LinkedIn, Naukri, Upwork, industry communities, and referrals to build a strong pipeline.
- Identify professionals with real industry and training experience.
2. Trainer Empanelment & Database Management
- Build and maintain a structured trainer database/empanelment pool.
- Categorize trainers based on domain, experience, availability, and delivery format.
- Ensure a ready pipeline of trainers for immediate and future requirements.
3. Corporate Training (B2B) Trainer Alignment
- Identify trainers suitable for corporate training assignments.
- Map trainer expertise with client-specific requirements (custom training, workshops, and bootcamps).
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the right trainer-project fit.
4. Trainer Evaluation & Quality Screening
- Conduct initial screening calls and profile evaluations.
- Coordinate demo sessions, technical assessments, and feedback loops.
- Ensure trainers meet delivery quality, communication, and domain expertise standards.
5. Trainer Onboarding & Coordination
- Manage end-to-end onboarding: documentation, agreements, compliance
- Brief training on:
- Training structure
- Delivery expectations
- Internal processes and guidelines
- Ensure readiness for classroom, virtual, and hybrid formats.
6. Relationship & Network Management
- Build long-term relationships with top trainers, consultants, and industry experts.
- Maintain regular engagement for repeat assignments and retention.
- Develop a strong trainer community aligned with BIA's standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1-4 years of experience in:
- Trainer sourcing / SME hiring / L&D coordination / talent acquisition
- Strong expertise in:
- LinkedIn sourcing, database building, and outreach
- Experience hiring for:
- Freelancers, consultants, trainers, or niche roles
- Excellent communication, screening, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to handle multiple trainer pipelines simultaneously
Preferred Background
- Experience in EdTech, Corporate Training, or Learning & Development (L&D)
- Prior exposure to technical hiring (AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, etc.)
- Familiarity with LMS platforms, training delivery models, or certification programs
