Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead and manage end-to-end human resource functions in a fast-growing software development organization. The role requires strong expertise in performance management, employee lifecycle management, recruitment, employee relations, learning & development, and the ability to act as a strategic partner to leadership.

The HR Manager will also act as a representative of leadership and handle organizational responsibilities in the absence of the CEO and Directors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Lifecycle Management

Manage complete onboarding to exit formalities, including induction, confirmation, transfers, exit interviews, and full & final settlements.

Ensure smooth joining experience and compliance with company policies and labor laws.

Maintain accurate employee records in the HRMS portal.

  • Performance Management

Design, implement, and manage the performance management system.

Set individual goals and KPIs for employees through the HRMS portal in alignment with business objectives.

Conduct performance reviews, appraisals, feedback cycles, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).

Support managers in building high-performing teams.

  • Learning & Development / Skill Development

Identify skill gaps and training needs across teams.

Plan and execute learning, upskilling, reskilling, and leadership development programs.

Promote continuous learning culture aligned with organizational growth.

Track training effectiveness and employee development progress.

  • Employee Retention & Engagement

Develop and implement employee retention strategies.

Address employee concerns, grievances, and internal challenges proactively.

Foster a positive work culture and maintain strong employee relations.

Conduct engagement surveys and implement action plans.

  • Recruitment & Talent Management

Lead end-to-end recruitment for software developers, QA, DevOps, and other technical roles.

Hands-on experience with recruiting and hiring software developers.

Work closely with hiring managers to build high-performing technical teams.

Manage recruitment vendors, ATS tools, and hiring metrics.

  • Leadership & Strategic Support

Act as a point of contact for employees and resolve professional and internal issues.

Support leadership by identifying organizational challenges and proposing HR solutions.

Act as VP / leadership representative in the absence of the CEO and Directors.

Ensure company policies, discipline, and ethical standards are maintained.

  • Succession Planning Responsibilities:
  • Identify and map successors for critical business roles.
  • Maintain a talent pipeline and readiness matrix (Ready Now / 12 Years).
  • Conduct periodic talent reviews with department heads.
  • Create development plans for high-potential employees.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer during role transitions and exits.
  • Track succession metrics and report leadership bench strength.
  • Employer Branding & Brand Building
  • Develop and strengthen the company's employer brand in the IT/software market.
  • Drive LinkedIn presence, employee advocacy, and thought-leadership visibility.
  • Coordinate with marketing for career page, hiring campaigns, and talent outreach initiatives.
  • Represent the company at job fairs, campus drives, tech meetups, and industry events.
  • Promote a strong internal culture aligned with company vision and values.
  • Showcase company achievements, employee success stories, and work culture initiatives.
  • Build partnerships with colleges, training institutes, and talent communities

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven HR leadership experience in a software development / IT company.
  • Strong knowledge of HRMS systems, performance management, and recruitment tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with integrity.
  • Experience managing diverse teams and fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent.
  • Experience scaling teams in a growing organization.
  • Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and HR compliance.
