Job Title: HR Manager

Location: Mumbai Head Office

Reports to: CEO

Job Overview

The HR Manager at Kidzonia International Preschools will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire spectrum of human resource functions at the Mumbai Head Office and across all Kidzonia centers. This role involves talent acquisition, employee engagement, policy implementation, compliance, and strategic HR initiatives to support the organization's growth and ensure a high-performing and motivated workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent for all roles across Kidzonia, from the corporate team to center staff.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify workforce needs and create job descriptions for new and existing positions.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, offer negotiations, and onboarding.
  • Employee Engagement and Retention
  • Design and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture.
  • Develop strategies to enhance employee retention, including recognition programs, career development plans, and regular feedback sessions.
  • Organize team-building activities, town halls, and events to promote a collaborative environment.
  • Performance Management
  • Oversee the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely and transparent evaluations.
  • Develop and monitor Key Result Areas (KRAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for employees in coordination with department heads.
  • Address performance issues constructively and design Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) when necessary.
  • Policy Development and Compliance
  • Develop, update, and communicate HR policies, employee handbooks, and procedures in line with labor laws and organizational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including PF, ESIC, gratuity, TDS, and other labor laws.
  • Act as the point of contact for any internal audits and compliance reviews.
  • Learning and Development
  • Identify training needs and develop annual training calendars for employees across all levels.
  • Partner with external trainers and internal stakeholders to deliver skill development and leadership training programs.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements.
  • HR Operations and Employee Lifecycle Management
  • Manage employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exits.
  • Oversee payroll inputs, leave management, and employee records to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
  • Maintain and update HR software (e.g., Zoho People) for employee data and process automation.
  • Conflict Resolution and Grievance Handling
  • Act as a trusted advisor for employees, addressing concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a fair and constructive manner.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) committee and conduct related training sessions.
  • Strategic HR Initiatives
  • Partner with leadership to align HR strategy with organizational goals and support business growth.
  • Conduct workforce analytics to identify trends and make data-driven HR decisions.
  • Lead change management initiatives and create frameworks for scaling HR processes as the organization expands.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 6-8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Experience in the education or services sector is preferred.
  • Certifications: HR certifications like SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR are an added advantage.

  • Proficiency in HR management systems (e.g., Zoho People, Kylas, or similar platforms).
  • Strong recruitment and workforce planning expertise.
