Job Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Lead who can seamlessly blend strategic HR thinking with operational excellence. You will be the people backbone of the organisation — building culture, managing the full employee lifecycle, and partnering with leadership to drive a high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement people strategy aligned with business growth
  • Design, review, and enforce HR policies, employee handbooks, and compliance frameworks
  • Own end-to-end payroll management — ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing
  • Manage the complete employee lifecycle: onboarding, performance management, promotions, and exits
  • Drive talent acquisition strategy in collaboration with hiring managers
  • Lead employee engagement, culture-building, and retention initiatives
  • Handle HR operations including HRIS management, documentation, and reporting
  • Manage statutory compliance — PF, ESI, Gratuity, and labour law adherence
  • Lead organisational development (OD) initiatives — capability building, L&D programmes, and succession planning
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management on all HR-related matters

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of HR experience across both strategic and operational functions
  • Proven expertise in payroll processing and statutory compliance
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices in India
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement HR policies from scratch
  • Experience working in a fast-growing startup or product technology company preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • MBA in HR or a postgraduate qualification in Human Resources preferred
  • Proficiency with HRIS tools such as Darwinbox, Keka, Zoho People, or similar
