Responsibilities
As a HR and Finance Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the full recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding in India
- Ensuring compliance with workplace policies and practices
- Ensuring the organization complies with labor laws and regulations in India
- Managing employee records in India and ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date
- Executing India HR operations, leave and payroll processes and controls in compliance with local labour laws and regulations, and proper employee file administration, including onboarding and exit of employees
- Partnering with People Operations to provide operational excellence and support on various HR matters such as performance appraisal, promotion, re/appointment exercises, recruitment, contract renewal, etc.
- Performing continuous active employee engagement through fun, clear internal communications for employee retention
- Keeping abreast of the latest changes in employment laws and requirements in India
- Administering payroll and benefits in India
- Cooperating with the HR Manager on all actions required by internal initiatives
- Preparing management reports
- Ensuring compliance with internal reporting standards and external regulatory requirements
- Maintaining proper documentation and records to ensure financial transparency and accountability
- Managing relationships with external accounting service providers
- Coordinating timely preparation and filing of tax returns, including corporate, GST, payroll, etc.
- Coordinating with the accountant, financial consultant, and labour consultant
- Supporting financial closing, accurate financial statements, and reports
- Assisting in the timely preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly/annual filings and compliances
- Monitoring and improving financial processes to prevent errors
- Collecting and preparing KPIs from your results
Requirements
- Time Management
- Good communication skills, Verbally and in Writing, and well-spoken in English
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, without direct supervision
- Be a team player and have interpersonal skills (customer oriented, problem solving)
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with HR practices, policies (recruitment, T&E, appraisals)
- Familiarity with Payroll, renumeration and labour law
- Travel could be required
- Highly organised and detailed team player
