Hospital Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training)
About The Role
What if your expertise in hospital data governance could directly shape how AI understands, interprets, and works with healthcare information at scale We're looking for experienced health data governance leaders to help ensure that the healthcare data used to train cutting-edge AI models is accurate, compliant, and clinically meaningful.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You'll work at the intersection of healthcare and advanced AI — contributing deep domain knowledge that most people simply don't have.

What You'll Do
- Evaluate and provide expert guidance on the quality, accuracy, and consistency of hospital health data used in AI model training
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and compliance risks in healthcare datasets and flag them with clear, structured feedback
- Apply your knowledge of healthcare governance frameworks — including HIPAA and clinical data standards — to assess data integrity and regulatory alignment
- Review and critique AI-generated outputs related to health data management, governance policies, and clinical workflows
- Collaborate asynchronously with project teams to define and apply standards that make health data trustworthy and useful
- Complete task-based assignments independently on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Experienced in healthcare data governance, clinical data management, or health information operations
- Strong working knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations and compliance frameworks, including HIPAA
- Skilled at working across clinical, technical, and administrative domains — you understand what each stakeholder needs from data
- Detail-oriented and methodical — you catch what others miss and can explain why it matters
- Clear, structured communicator who can document findings and recommendations with precision
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently without day-to-day oversight
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or evaluation systems
- Familiarity with EHR systems, clinical coding standards (ICD, SNOMED, HL7/FHIR), or health analytics platforms
- Background in health informatics, clinical operations, compliance, or health IT
- Exposure to AI tools, machine learning workflows, or data labeling platforms
