The Pharmaceutical Recruiter manages the full recruitment lifecycle for pharmaceutical and life sciences positions. This includes identifying talent, conducting candidate screenings, coordinating interviews, negotiating offers, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process. The role requires strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry functions, compliance standards, and specialized hiring requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences roles
- Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and internal databases
- Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate assessments
- Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for niche and hard-to-fill roles
- Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and workforce planning needs
- Negotiate compensation packages and manage offer processes
- Maintain accurate records in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Ensure compliance with hiring regulations and company policies
- Track recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, submission-to-interview ratio, and offer acceptance rate
- Support employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives
- Stay updated on pharmaceutical industry hiring trends and competitor talent strategies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-4 years of recruiting experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare staffing
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry roles and terminology
- Experience with ATS platforms and recruitment tools
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
