Gaurav Gupta Couture is looking for a seasoned Head WIP (Work in Progress) to drive end-to-end material flow and work-in-progress (WIP) management across our couture manufacturing ecosystem. This role is critical in ensuring seamless production execution while upholding the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, monitor, and control end-to-end material flow and WIP across fabric, embroidery/accessories, and dyeing processes
- Ensure timely availability of fabrics, trims, and processed materials in line with production plans and couture timelines
- Proactively prevent production delays arising from material shortages, quality issues, or process bottlenecks
- Track and manage WIP ageing, shortages, and priorities, initiating corrective actions as required
- Ensure all materials and processes strictly adhere to approved quality standards and SOPs
- Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Quality, and Atelier teams to align execution with design and delivery requirements
- Lead and manage WIP teams and reporting in-charges, driving discipline and accountability
- Maintain accurate WIP and stock records through system-based and/or manual reporting
- Share daily and weekly WIP status updates with the Factory Head and senior stakeholders
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of garment manufacturing, couture workflows, and material movement
- Hands-on experience managing production planning, materials, WIP, embroidery/accessories, and dyeing
- Proven ability to work in high-precision, time-sensitive environments
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with a structured, data-driven approach to reporting and follow-ups
- Experience in luxury, couture, or premium fashion manufacturing will be a strong advantage
