Role Summary
BigCity is building a large-scale, multi-category partner and supply ecosystem to power its promotional, loyalty, and engagement solutions.
We are looking for a leader who can build, scale, and monetize this ecosystem by driving strategic partnerships, expanding merchant networks, and strengthening supply across categories.
This is a high-ownership, commercial role focused on building supply, driving partnerships, and unlocking value through strong marketplace expansion.
Core Responsibilities
Marketplace & Supply Ecosystem Development
- Build and scale a diverse partner ecosystem across multiple categories including digital, physical, experiential, and service-based offerings
- Define category expansion strategies and identify new supply opportunities
- Continuously strengthen depth and breadth of the partner network
Merchant & Partner Acquisition
- Drive onboarding of:
- Brands
- Merchants
- Service providers
- Experience partners
- Build strong category coverage and geographic depth
- Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures, and long-term partnerships
Commercial Ownership & Margin Optimization
- Own and optimize commercial outcomes across partnerships
- Drive:
- Better procurement rates
- Strong margins
- Efficient supply structures
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure competitive yet profitable offerings
Offers & Network Expansion
- Build a strong merchant-led offers ecosystem
- Drive:
- Category-based and location-based partnerships
- Ensure high-quality, relevant, and attractive offerings for end users
Innovation & New Supply Creation
- Continuously identify and launch:
- New partnership categories
- New supply formats
- High-value and differentiated offerings
- Bring innovative and premium experiences into the ecosystem
Internal Business Enablement
- Act as the central supply engine for:
- Sales teams
- Client servicing teams
- Provide:
- Ready-to-sell catalogues
- Strong propositions for pitches
- Support strategic deals with customized partnership solutions
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performance team across partnerships and supply
- Define clear KRAs, KPIs, and performance tracking mechanisms
Key Success Metrics
- Growth in number of active partners and merchants
- Depth of ecosystem across categories and geographies
- Improvement in commercial terms and margins
- Increase in exclusive or high-value partnerships
- Adoption of ecosystem across internal business teams
- Contribution to overall business revenue
Professional qualifications:
5–10 years of experience in:
- Partnerships / alliances
- Marketplace / category management
- Merchant acquisition roles
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to build and scale partner ecosystems
- Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced environments
- Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution.
