Job Description

Develop and implement procurement strategies to support business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
Manage supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with quality and performance standards.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate optimal terms with vendors and suppliers.
Oversee procurement processes, including sourcing, contract management, and supplier performance evaluations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business needs and objectives.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all procurement activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement and supply chain functions.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities for the procurement team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Procurement should have:

A degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
Proven expertise in civil, construction or infrastructure procurement and supply chain operations
Experience of managing procurement for a plant or brownfield or a greenfield project
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance standards
Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams effectively
Analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimization and strategic planning
