Sales Head – India Government Business

Location: Delhi/NCR

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and well-connected sales leader to drive and scale our Government business in India. This role will be responsible for leading engagements across Central Ministries, State Governments, and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), while building a strong pipeline of large transformation deals.

This is a strategic leadership role that combines business growth, stakeholder management, and team leadership, along with active involvement in large and complex deal pursuits.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Strategy

  • Define and execute the growth strategy for the Government business segment
  • Drive new business acquisition and expand existing accounts
  • Identify opportunities aligned with government digital transformation initiatives

Government Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across ministries, departments, and PSUs
  • Position the organization as a trusted transformation partner

Large Deals & Bid Management

  • Lead large, complex deals and transformation programs
  • Manage end-to-end government procurement processes including RFPs, compliance, and bid submissions
  • Drive structured and disciplined pursuit management

Partnership & Ecosystem Development

  • Build strategic alliances with OEMs, hyperscalers, and system integrators
  • Develop joint solutions and go-to-market strategies with partners

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team
  • Build a strong culture of accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence

Governance & Execution

  • Ensure strong pipeline management and forecasting accuracy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including delivery, finance, and legal for seamless execution

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive experience in enterprise or government sales within IT services or digital transformation
  • Proven track record of working with Central/State Governments and PSUs in India
  • Strong understanding of government procurement and tendering processes
  • Experience in managing large and complex deals
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
