CHALK STUDIO

Sales Head

A senior leadership role for an industry-native professional who lives and breathes design, and knows how to sell it.

Reports To: Studio Head and Founder

Working Days: Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturdays

Work Timings: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM (flexible)

Location: Gurugram (On-site)

Compensation: Fixed + Performance-Linked Variable

Chalk Studio is a design-led interior design studio based in Gurugram, founded by Priyanka Singh. Our approach blends storytelling, research, and client-focused creativity to craft spaces that are deeply personal and visually exceptional.

We work with HNI clients across residential, commercial, hospitality, and retail categories, delivering projects pan-India across 15+ cities. With a team of 40+ design professionals and 58+ completed projects, we offer both design-only and design-plus-build services. At Chalk Studio, we believe that sales solves all, and we are building the team to prove it.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Client Acquisition and Lead Conversion

  • Own the end-to-end sales pipeline, from first connect to signed mandate
  • Manage and convert marketing-qualified leads provided by the studio
  • Present Chalk Studio's portfolio and design philosophy to HNI prospects with confidence and elegance
  • Articulate the value of design-only and design-plus-build engagements clearly and persuasively
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and presentations in alignment with the studio's brand standards

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain and deepen relationships with past clients to generate referrals and repeat mandates
  • Serve as the primary relationship anchor for ongoing projects, ensuring a seamless and escalation-free client experience
  • Proactively address client concerns before they become pain points
  • Build long-term trust that positions Chalk Studio as the go-to studio in the client's network

3. Business Development and Channel Expansion

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with architects, interior consultants, and real estate developers
  • Open referral channels with premium real estate developers for consistent lead flow
  • Identify and activate new revenue streams through B2B partnerships and channel alliances
  • Represent Chalk Studio at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums

4. Brand Representation and Positioning

  • Be the face of Chalk Studio in every client interaction: poised, informed, and brand-aligned
  • Communicate the studio's unique design language, process, and client experience with authority
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to stay current on all projects and capabilities
  • Uphold the premium positioning of the brand at every touchpoint

5. Sales Strategy and Reporting

  • Track and report the sales pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue metrics to the Founder
  • Provide market intelligence including competitor insights, client preferences, and emerging opportunities
  • Continuously refine the pitch, proposal formats, and conversion approach
  • Drive revenue targets with a structured, data-informed approach

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Industry Background: Interior design or architecture (mandatory)

Experience: 10 to 12+ years, with a strong sales focus

Candidate Profile: Women candidates only

Client Segment: Proven experience handling HNI clients

Communication: Exceptional, both verbal and written

  • Deep understanding of the interior design industry: its language, its clients, its nuances
  • A natural relationship-builder whom clients instinctively trust
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and passionate about the craft of selling design
  • Comfortable navigating HNI conversations with polish, poise, and confidence
  • Collaborative by nature, able to work seamlessly with a creative studio team
