Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the delivery of plant engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring effective resource allocation, task management, and career development.
- Act as the main point of contact between clients, internal teams, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals, expectations, and timelines.
- Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation plans to ensure successful delivery.
- Ensure all engineering processes and deliverables meet the required quality standards and comply with relevant industry regulations and best practices.
- Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring the efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
- Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes, striving for enhanced efficiency, reduced costs, and improved quality.
- Appraise and groom team members to improve their performance and develop their competencies
- Responsible for Quality Process Compliance for all the projects and to maintain process compliance index >95% for the Business Unit
- Continuously evaluate Productivity Improvement opportunities in various engagements and to supervise development of Productivity Improvement Tools.
Required Skills
- Proven working experience in Leadership Role in Plant Engineering Services organization
- People oriented and results driven
- Professional certifications such as PMP (PMI) are desirable.
- Strong multidisciplinary knowledge, especially in Process, Piping, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical & Instrumentation disciplines.
- Experience of handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in Engineering Services Organization and handling of Offshore Design Centers (ODC)is preferred
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to effectively engage with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
