Job Description

Job Title: Head - Marketing

Reports To: The Director

Location: Mumbai, Ghatkopar

Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Head to lead and execute integrated marketing and admissions strategies across our education brands.

This role is responsible for driving student acquisition, strengthening brand positioning, improving retention, and delivering measurable growth through strategic planning, digital excellence, and strong stakeholder collaboration.

The ideal candidate will combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution capability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Marketing & Admissions Leadership:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive annual marketing, retention, and admissions strategy aligned with the institution's vision and ethos. • Set and achieve admissions and revenue targets in consultation with the Board and School Director. • Provide strategic insights to leadership on market trends, competitor positioning, and growth opportunities. • Lead change initiatives to respond proactively to emerging market challenges.

2. Digital & Performance Marketing:

• Plan and execute end-to-end digital marketing campaigns (SEO, SEM, social media, paid media, performance marketing). • Monitor campaign performance, optimize ROI, and present data-driven reports to leadership. • Design and manage lead generation funnels to ensure a seamless student customer journey. • Oversee content strategy across platforms to strengthen brand visibility and engagement.

3. Brand Management & Communications:

• Strengthen brand identity across all verticals (GICLM, GIC, PG Garodia, Academies). • Manage PR, media outreach, and advertising initiatives. • Ensure all marketing collateral (brochures, logos, presentations, digital creatives) remain current and aligned with brand standards. • Build strong internal and external communication frameworks to enhance brand perception.

4. Sales Operations & Customer Experience:

• Lead and manage Admissions and Marketing teams to ensure service excellence. • Establish processes, quality standards, and policies to enhance the prospective parent and student journey. • Develop action plans to improve productivity, conversion rates, and retention. • Analyze sales data to identify system improvements and implement corrective strategies.

5. Partnerships & Outreach:

• Build strategic community partnerships with feeder schools, parent networks, influencers, and associations. • Strengthen internal engagement with parents, students, and alumni communities. • Maintain updated market intelligence on demographic shifts, housing trends, and competitor activities.

6. Team & Vendor Management • Lead, mentor, and evaluate marketing and admissions teams. • Manage external agencies and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. • Coordinate closely with HoS/HODs for promotions, events, and academic marketing initiatives. • Contribute to institutional event calendars and flagship campaigns.

7. Governance & Compliance:

• Ensure marketing and admissions practices comply with school regulations and safeguarding policies. • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times.

Candidate Profile Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, PR, or related field. • Minimum 10 + years of experience in marketing and sales, preferably in the education sector.

• Strong expertise in digital and performance marketing. • Proven ability to drive admissions growth and revenue targets. • Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical capabilities. • Creative thinker capable of delivering impact within optimized budgets. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • High level of ownership, professionalism, and leadership maturity. • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
