We are currently looking for a strategic leader to join our senior management team as Head of Internal Audit at our HO at Mumbai, Kanjurmarg. This role would be a part of our third line of defense team for Mindgate Solutions and would report to the Mindgate's Board / Board Audit Committee with a group level reporting to Group Head of Internal Audit at PayU Payments.

Role Objective

Exciting opportunity to join Mindgate as we seek to hire an experienced Director - Internal Audit. You will be expected to develop and run the internal audit function in an entrepreneurial and fast-growing business which at the same time becomes more and more regulated. This is a new position offering autonomy and ownership in a dynamic multi-stakeholder environment.

Role : Head Internal Audit, Mindgate Solutions

Location: Kanjurmarg, Mumbai

Key Relationships: Co-founders, CEO, CFO, COO, CTO, functional heads, Risk and Compliance teams and group stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• You will develop and deliver on the risk-based audit plan for Mindgate in alignment with the board, management and group stakeholders at PayU Payments
• You will develop internal team and capabilities over time and will strongly leverage co-sourcing partners to deliver a strong and targeted internal audit program
• You report into the Mindgate-level governance structure (including Board / Audit Committee as applicable) with group level reporting to PayU India Group Head of Internal Audit, incl. periodic status reporting for both audiences
• You will oversee the quality of work from co-sourcing partners making sure that the overall audit program is delivering on the expectations from all angles and stakeholders
• Beyond delivering on the Audit plan, you will become a respected partner to the business in terms of best-practice on risk, control and audit matters (within the boundaries of your role)
• You will liaise with external auditors as and when required
• You will represent the internal audit function during regulatory inspections

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced internal auditor (min. 7 to 15 years of overall experience) with relevant qualifications and demonstrable experience in multi-stakeholder environments, incl. exposure to C-level, board level audiences, and matrix structures
• The suitable candidate should have prior financial services internal audit experience, preferably in banks, payment processing set ups or FinTech; at the same time you understand the expectations of working in an entrepreneurial environment
• You clearly understand risk from multiple angles (360-degree view): from operational to financial risk, from regulatory to technology risk, from security to data privacy to compliance and financial crime related risks
• You should have a passion for the role and have a credible ambition to enable a successful journey for Mindagte by providing senior management and the board / board audit committee with assurance and advice on the adequacy of the business control activities; you partner effectively with business and control functions across the organization
