Main Duties & Scope of the role

Responsible for leading the strategic development of the expansion of StudyIn's franchise office network, the Head of Franchise will work with existing franchisee owners and offices to grow international student recruitment to multiple study destinations. The Head of Franchise will also oversee the onboarding and opening of new franchise offices as well at the Quality Assurance of all franchise offices. Frequent international travel to existing and potential new markets will be integral to the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive student recruitment and revenue growth across the StudyIn Franchise network:
  • Work with all StudyIn Franchise Offices to deliver the annual recruitment targets for all relevant study destinations targeted, and identify additional revenue opportunities for both parties.
  • Monitor and ensure required service quality levels and standards across all Franchise offices: Using the Franchise Operations Manual (FOM), monitor and maintain service quality standards across all StudyIn Franchise offices through regular audits, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms. Providing tailored support to underperforming offices, offering strategic guidance, resources, and training to improve operational efficiency, enhance student experience, and boost revenue generation.
  • Supporting Franchise offices with Recruitment Fairs and Events:
  • Collaborating with franchise offices to provide guidance and support to plan, organize, and promote successful student recruitment fairs and promotional events.
  • Lead the Global Expansion of StudyIn Franchise:
  • Responsible for the strategic development of the StudyIn Franchise office network by identifying new opportunities, shortlist prospective partners, and lead on the process to appoint new franchisees in key markets.
  • Contract Negotiations with Partners and Institutions:
  • Managing all aspects of contract negotiation and agreement finalization for new channel partners and university partners. Ensuring all contracts are commercially sound, aligned with company objectives, and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.

About the Candidate (including required competencies)

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, cross-cultural awareness, and extensive experience in managing global operations, franchise or partner networks, and institutional collaborations. Must be a results-driven professional with a proven track record in international education, strategic partnerships, and global business development. They will be entrepreneurial, solution-oriented, and passionate about expanding access to international education opportunities.

Requirements & Qualification

Educational Background:

  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, International Education, or a related field is required.
  • A postgraduate qualification or MBA would be an added advantage.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 12–15 years of progressive experience in international student recruitment, operations management, or a related area within the education sector.
  • Experience working in global, multicultural environments with a proven track record of leadership in international roles.

Leadership & Strategic Management:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multi-regional teams across diverse geographies.
  • Strong experience in designing and executing global expansion strategies and aligning regional operations with organizational goals.

International Education Sector Expertise:

  • Comprehensive understanding of student recruitment trends, visa processes, and education systems in key destination countries (e.g., UK, USA, Canada, Australia).
  • Well-versed in international student expectations, application processes, and institutional requirements.

Partnership & Franchise Development:

  • Skilled in identifying, negotiating with, and managing franchisees and global channel partners.
  • Experienced in building and maintaining strategic university partnerships, formalizing agreements, and ensuring mutual performance outcomes.

Quality Assurance & Operational Oversight:

  • Proficient in developing and applying quality assurance frameworks to standardize service delivery across multiple international locations.
  • Experienced in conducting operational audits, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices.

Business Development & Revenue Growth:

  • Proven ability to identify market opportunities, launch new initiatives, and drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Expertise in supporting local offices with business planning, sales enablement, and marketing strategy to increase student recruitment.

Project Management & Multitasking:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different time zones and regions.
  • Capable of working under pressure, prioritizing tasks effectively, and meeting critical deadlines without compromising on quality.
