About the Role

As the Head of Channel Partner Acquisition, you will lead the strategy, development, and execution of high-impact initiatives to acquire and scale Vendor Leaders (VLs) and channel partners across India. This role is central to Vahan's next phase of growth and will directly influence the scale, quality, and efficiency of our supply ecosystem.

You will own the end-to-end partner acquisition charter — from defining the vision and building scalable acquisition engines to leading execution across markets. You will also build and mentor a high-performing team, while working closely with cross-functional leaders to deliver a seamless and high-quality partner experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Acquisition Strategy & Vision: Define and drive the long-term strategy to acquire and scale high-quality VLs and channel partners across geographies.
  • Program & Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a team responsible for partner acquisition across markets; establish strong operating rhythms and accountability.
  • Scalable Acquisition Engines: Design and implement repeatable, scalable models for partner sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding.
  • Lifecycle Ownership: Own the complete lifecycle from prospect identification to onboarding and early-stage success (first 90 days).
  • Partner Enablement: Develop robust onboarding frameworks, playbooks, and enablement programs to set partners up for success from Day 1.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Work closely with Demand, Marketing, Product, Account Management, Finance, and Growth teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment.
  • Performance & Analytics: Define north-star metrics and KPIs; track performance rigorously and drive continuous optimization.
  • Relationship & Ecosystem Building: Build strong relationships with key partners and create a high-trust, high-engagement ecosystem.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, identify new acquisition channels, and continuously refine the partner acquisition strategy.

You'll Thrive in This Role If You

  • Have 10+ years of experience in sales, distribution, or channel acquisition, with significant exposure to scaling partner networks.
  • Have led teams and owned business outcomes in a high-growth or ambiguous environment.
  • Have a proven track record of selling high-conviction value propositions that drive partner investment and deeper wallet share.
  • Understand how to align incentives and economics to create win-win outcomes for both the platform and partners.
  • Bring a strong understanding of on-ground distribution models, especially in sectors like FMCG, Telecom, or large-scale operations and then replicating them in high growth startups.
  • Have experience building 0→1 and 1→10 acquisition engines.
  • Possess strong stakeholder management skills and can influence across functions and seniority levels.
  • Are highly analytical and comfortable using data to drive strategic decisions.
  • Have a strong bias for action, high ownership, and a track record of delivering results at scale.
