Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for the Head of Business Development, based in Gurugram with partial work-from-home flexibility. The individual will be responsible for driving business growth by developing and executing strategic business plans, managing key accounts, and identifying new business opportunities. The role includes overseeing sales operations, building partnerships, and fostering a robust client pipeline. Key responsibilities will involve analyzing market trends, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the alignment of business strategies with organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Business Development and Account Management
  • Strong skills in Business Planning and formulating strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability in Sales and relationship-building
  • Analytical skills to interpret market data and develop actionable insights
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model, balancing onsite and remote responsibilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Previous experience working within the education or training industry is an advantage

Experience

5-8 years in B2B sales, business development, or corporate sales — preferably with education sector, government tenders, CSR consulting, or institutional sales background

Education

MBA preferred (any specialisation). Graduate degree minimum. Education sector or government engagement background is a strong plus.

Language

Excellent written and spoken English and Hindi. Comfortable presenting to senior corporate executives, government officers, and school principals.

Technology

Strong with MS Office, CRM systems (Zoho or similar), Google Workspace. Comfortable with GeM portal navigation (training will be provided if not already familiar).

Geographic Knowledge

Strong network or working knowledge of Delhi NCR corporate landscape and North India institutional sector
