Head - Merchant Growth (10–12 Years Experience)
We are looking for a Merchant Growth Head to drive merchant acquisition, activation, and revenue growth across our PPI (Wallet) and POS/device business.
This role requires a strong understanding of merchant ecosystems, digital payments, and POS businesses, along with the ability to build and scale growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities -
a) Merchant Growth Strategy
- Define and execute merchant growth strategy across wallet acceptance and POS/device deployment
- Identify and prioritize high-potential merchant segments (retail, SMBs, services, franchises, SaaS-led)
- Build scalable acquisition and activation models
b) Merchant Activation & Engagement -
- Drive merchant journey from onboarding to active and repeat usage
- Improve transaction volume and wallet acceptance across categories
- Design programs to increase usage, frequency, and retention
c) POS & Device Growth -
- Lead POS and QR/device deployment strategy across target segments
- Improve device productivity (transactions and TPV per device)
- Drive monetization via rentals, subscriptions, and transaction-led models
d) Partnerships & Ecosystem-
- Build partnerships and integrations to accelerate merchant adoption and usage
e) Revenue Ownership-
- Own merchant-side revenue across wallet, POS, and devices
- Identify and drive cross-sell opportunities across products
f) Data & Growth Optimization-
- Track merchant funnel metrics and identify drop-offs
- Run pricing, incentive, and product experiments
- Work closely with product and analytics teams to improve conversion and growth
Candidate Profile-
- 10–12 years of experience in fintech, payments, POS, or merchant platforms
- Strong understanding of PPI wallets, UPI, and offline payments
- Experience in merchant acquisition, growth, or partnerships
- Ability to scale growth programs and drive execution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
