Job Description

Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech

Experience: 20 to 25 years

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Strategy Development : Responsible for leading and developing procurement strategic plan from Indian suppliers which will drive cost effective, efficient and quality material in line with company's products and solutions. Align and develop synergy potential in cross-brand cooperation across TRATON group companies. In depth knowledge for local and international laws, upcoming legislations as well taxation.

• Supplier & Quality Management: Drive program with a strong emphasis on quality, cost and vendor managed inventory ensuring no production loss at multiple global plants, fostering partnerships with suppliers driven by innovation

• Cost Engineering: Lead and mentor a team of cost engineers in performing detailed cost estimations for all parts and aggregates across Chassis, Powertrain, Cabin, and Electrical commodities, utilizing Zero-Based and First-Principle methodologies to achieve the targeted price structure.

• Indirect Procurement: Guide and manage the team overseeing procurement of indirect materials and services to meet the operational needs of the India office

• Contracts and Negotiations: Lead complex contract negotiations, long term agreements, risk mitigation, and adherence to compliance requirements

• Cost Control and Analysis: Drive continuous cost reduction initiatives, monitor market trends, analyze spend

• Leadership: Value driven, transparent working approach with clear focus on efficiency and collaboration as well solution based approach to find best business outcomes for the Group companies. Provide direction and motivation to a global procurement team of 30 – 35 members, ensuring successful execution of strategic initiatives and cultivating their potential to become future leaders of the company

Must Have Skills:

• Experience: 20+ years in procurement, with significant experience in international sourcing, vendor management, and team leadership. Proven track record of managing high spend budgets. Gained extensive experience working with multinational organizations across diverse international environments. Working experience in International OEMs preferred.

• Language: Possesses excellent English communications skills.

• Skills: Knowledge and experience in negotiation with global companies in international environment and global market trends. Exposure to B2B practice is preferred. Demonstrates excellent presentation skills. Strong analytical, financial and technical acumen.

• Sustainability Regulations: Exposure to European Union (EU) framework of sustainability regulations driven by the European Green Deal such as carbon reduction, supply chain traceability, environmental impact, and social responsibility
