Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled
Guidewire Rating Developer to join our team and contribute to the successful configuration and customization of Guidewire PolicyCenter, specifically focusing on the Rating engine. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of rating algorithms, business rules, and Guidewire's GOSU scripting language.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and configure Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating engine solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts and actuaries to implement rating logic and pricing models.
- Customize and enhance rating worksheets and templates based on business requirements.
- Work on Rating Management, Parameter Sets, Rate Books, Rate Tables, and Rate Routines.
- Perform unit testing and support system/integration/UAT testing for rating components.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, coding standards, and security guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve rating issues in lower and production environments.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and sprint planning to deliver quality software on schedule.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter, with a strong focus on Rating Development.
- Proficiency in GOSU programming language and Guidewire Configuration tools.
- Experience with Rate Books, Rate Routines, Parameter Sets, and Lookup Tables.
- Understanding of Personal or Commercial lines insurance products.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Nice To Have
- Experience in Guidewire Rating Management (GRM).
- Familiarity with Guidewire Product Model and Rating Worksheet Debugging Tools.
- Exposure to Workers Compensation, Auto, or Property lines of business.
- Integration knowledge of PolicyCenter with BillingCenter and ClaimCenter.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
