Job Title: Guidewire Rating Developer
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
Guidewire Rating Developer to design, configure, and maintain rating logic within Guidewire applications. The role focuses on implementing complex rating algorithms, underwriting rules, and pricing models to support P&C insurance products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement rating algorithms and pricing logic in Guidewire
- Configure and maintain rate books, rate tables, and rating factors
- Develop and customize rating rules using Gosu
- Work with product managers and actuaries to translate business requirements into rating solutions
- Support enhancements to PolicyCenter rating engine
- Perform unit testing, regression testing, and support UAT for rating changes
- Analyze and resolve rating defects and performance issues
- Maintain documentation for rating logic and configurations
- Participate in code reviews and follow Guidewire best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Guidewire Rating Developer
- Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating
- Proficiency in Gosu and Guidewire configuration tools
- Experience with rate tables, modifiers, territories, and underwriting rules
- Solid understanding of P&C insurance rating concepts
- Familiarity with Guidewire Studio and PolicyCenter data model
- Experience with SQL for data validation and analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with actuarial and product teams
- Guidewire Certification (PolicyCenter / Rating)
- Exposure to Guidewire Cloud (GWCP)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with complex product lines (Auto, Property, Workers Comp, Commercial Lines)
- Knowledge of performance tuning for rating calculations
Experience with
rules optimization and refactoring
