Job Title: Billing Center Tech Lead (Guidewire)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Billing Center Tech Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of billing solutions using Guidewire BillingCenter. This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on development expertise, and deep knowledge of billing processes within the insurance domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end technical delivery of BillingCenter implementations and enhancements
- Drive solution design and architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Provide hands-on development support and guide the team on complex implementations
- Manage and mentor a team of developers and technical consultants
- Design and develop customizations using Gosu and Guidewire frameworks
- Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Oversee integrations with external systems (payment gateways, policy systems, claims systems)
- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Ensure proper documentation of technical designs and solutions
- Support upgrades, patches, and cloud platform enhancements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6–10 years of experience in Guidewire BillingCenter development
- Strong development and design experience in Guidewire ecosystem
- Hands-on expertise in Gosu programming
- Proven experience with Guidewire BillingCenter Cloud (GWBC Cloud)
- Solid understanding of billing lifecycle (invoicing, payments, collections, commissions)
- Experience with Guidewire integration frameworks (SOAP/REST, messaging)
- Familiarity with Guidewire data model and configuration tools
- Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills
- Proven experience leading technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MuleSoft (strong plus for integrations)
- Experience with other Guidewire products like Guidewire PolicyCenter or Guidewire ClaimCenter
- Guidewire certifications (BillingCenter Developer/Integration)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Guidewire Cloud, AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of insurance domain (P&C preferred)
