Job Description
Why XBE
Heavy materials, logistics, and construction are changing fast — and XBE is building the system of action for operators who don't want to wait for the market to catch up.
At XBE, marketing sits close to product, close to sales, and close to the real operational problems our customers face every day. We're also building marketing differently: a small number of exceptional people, equipped with the right systems and AI, can accomplish what traditionally required a much larger team.
Joining XBE means:
- You help build the marketing function and shape what it becomes.
- You work at the intersection of product, sales, content, and campaigns — turning real operational problems into market interest.
- You use Agent XBE, AI tools, automation, and external agency support to make a small team capable of dramatically more.
- You gain trust, autonomy, exposure, and responsibility earlier in your career than most companies offer.
The Role
XBE is looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to join the VP of Marketing as the second member of our internal marketing team.
The mandate is simple: help us create significantly more demand and significantly increase what our marketing team is capable of doing. The how is the fun part you'll take lead in creating.
You'll help conceive and execute inbound and outbound campaigns, turn ideas into content, and build systems around work that happens ad hoc today. You'll also contribute across events, launches, sales enablement, our website, and whatever else becomes important as the company evolves.
You'll work closely with the VP of Marketing on strategy and priorities, then take an idea and run with it. This is a remote role, and our working hours may not completely overlap. Once we're aligned on the outcome, you should be comfortable figuring out how to get there, communicating clearly, asking thoughtful questions, and keeping work moving independently.
You're helping build the marketing machine. The channels, tools, and playbook will evolve as we learn what works.
What You Will Own
Campaign & Demand Generation
- Help build, launch, measure, and improve inbound and outbound campaigns, with a strong emphasis on account-based marketing, to create market interest and generate new opportunities for XBE.
- Turn market opportunities, product developments, sales insights, and ideas into campaigns.
- Help develop targeting, segmentation, messaging, personalization, and follow-up strategies.
- Track what's generating response, identify what isn't, and iterate quickly. Help develop the channel playbook through testing and experimentation.
- Look constantly for new ways to reach the right accounts and create demand.
Agent XBE & AI-Powered GTM
- Use Agent XBE, our CRM (Monaco), AI tools, automation, and lightweight development to increase what the marketing team can accomplish.
- Turn repeatable manual work into systems — whether that's automating a workflow, personalizing an ABM campaign, improving follow-up, or building a better content production process.
- Experiment with vibe coding and AI-built internal tools to solve problems that would otherwise require capabilities beyond a small marketing team.
- Turn successful experiments into repeatable workflows, and keep learning as the tools and challenges change. Repeated manual work is a system waiting to be built.
Events & Field Marketing
- Support event planning and coordination, including messaging, promotion, registration, campaigns, materials, and lead management.
- Help turn events into growth opportunities through coordinated campaigns and consistent follow-up.
- Make the systems around events work. Depending on your location, you may not attend physically, but you'll contribute to everything that helps an event generate response.
Website, Content & Enablement Operations
- Help develop ideas and translate them into market-facing content across campaigns and channels.
- Use Agent XBE, other AI tools, and external agency support to build a consistently strong content engine. Contribute directly when that's the fastest or best way to get work finished.
- Review and refine content so it sounds, looks, and feels like XBE. Help maintain and evolve our brand voice as the company grows.
- Manage content production and distribution workflows so good ideas become finished work.
- Contribute to website and landing page management, sales enablement, and product and feature launches.
- Support CRM and marketing systems, analytics and reporting, campaign follow-up, marketing agency coordination, and new experiments and channels.
You don't need to be a professional designer or video editor, or personally produce every asset. Strong visual instincts and experience with tools like Canva, image generation, or basic video production will help you turn our resources into polished, on-brand work.
What Success Looks Like
We will ultimately judge this role by two things:
- Marketing creates more demand. Campaigns, content, and systems materially increase market response and contribute to new pipeline. You won't individually own a sales pipeline number — demand creation is shared across marketing and sales — but you should care deeply about whether your work creates response.
- Marketing becomes dramatically more capable. We're building toward 10x, not simply twice the capacity: manual work becomes automated, ideas reach the market faster, campaigns become easier to launch and improve, content production becomes systematic, and follow-up improves. Things stop falling between the cracks, and the team can do things that weren't possible before you arrived.
What You Bring
Skill & Mindset
We're more interested in what you've done and how you think than a long checklist of software, certifications, industries, or years of experience. You likely have a few years of professional marketing experience and can show that you've started building things rather than simply participating in them.
- Marketing content you've helped create, with the ability to explain the choices behind it, and experience helping build and execute real campaigns.
- A strong understanding of account-based marketing and how marketing and sales work together to create demand.
- Real AI fluency: you experiment, build, automate, and find new ways to make yourself more capable. At minimum, you've experimented with vibe coding or used AI to build things you couldn't traditionally build yourself.
- Strong editorial judgment and the ability to distinguish great content from content that merely fills a calendar.
- Enough visual instinct to recognize polished, on-brand work.
- Excellent written communication and the ability to learn new systems and technology quickly.
- High curiosity, thoughtful questions, and the ability to investigate problems and create momentum independently.
- Comfort moving between campaign strategy and execution details, balancing quality with progress, and trying, measuring, learning, and trying again.
- The judgment to operate autonomously while communicating clearly and staying aligned with business priorities.
Domain Chops (Bonus)
- Account-based or named-account campaigns.
- Outbound prospecting, sales, or cold calling.
- CRM and marketing automation.
- Website or CMS management.
- Graphic design or Canva, AI image generation, or video editing and production.
- Events or analytics.
- Startups or small teams where the playbook was still being written.
Industry experience isn't important to us. The ability to learn quickly is.
If This Is You
You are unusually curious. When you don't understand something, you ask. When something doesn't make sense, you investigate. When you encounter a problem, you figure out how to move it forward.
Our expectations are high. You'll join a small marketing function inside a fast-moving company, where priorities change and some answers aren't documented because we're figuring them out for the first time. You should be comfortable with broad responsibilities, experimentation, and building the systems you need as you go.
With that comes an unusual amount of trust, autonomy, exposure, and opportunity. You'll work directly with the VP of Marketing, close to product and sales, see how decisions get made, and experiment with AI and go-to-market systems at a level most marketers won't encounter this early in their careers.
If you want responsibility and a meaningful hand in shaping what the marketing organization becomes, this is a chance to show us what you can do with it.
