What You'll Do

Design Systems & Shared Assets

  • Contribute to the ongoing development, documentation, and governance of BCG's design system and shared design assets.
  • Support alignment between design and engineering to ensure components, patterns, and standards are implementable and reusable.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or duplication across teams and proactively recommend improvements.

Accessibility & Standards

  • Embed accessibility and core design principles (e.g., responsive and mobile-first approaches) into templates, systems, and guidance.

  • Support accessibility reviews and audits, helping teams identify and mitigate risk early in delivery.

  • Contribute to evolving accessibility baselines in line with regulatory and enterprise requirements.

Product Deep-Dive Assessments

  • Support structured UX diagnostics of third-party or off-the-shelf products where redesign is constrained.

  • Analyse usability, accessibility, migration friction, and adoption risk, producing clear and actionable insights.

  • Partner with change and delivery teams to ensure findings are understood and acted upon.

Adoption, Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and interpret adoption, usage, and compliance data related to design systems and standards.
  • Use data to identify areas of low uptake or friction and propose practical improvements.
  • Contribute to reporting that demonstrates the value and risk reduction impact of Design Technology across the CoE.

Collaboration & Stewardship

  • Work closely with Product Design, Service Design, Research, and Engineering to ensure shared standards enable rather than constrain delivery.
  • Support governance activities, including documentation of exceptions and evolution of standards.
  • Act as a proactive advocate for consistency, accessibility, and scalable design practices within the CoE.


What You'll Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in UX, design systems, accessibility, platform design, or a related discipline within a large, global enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to shared systems, standards, or component libraries at scale.
  • Experience supporting accessibility reviews and embedding usability best practices across digital products.
  • Exposure to enterprise environments with multiple teams, stakeholders, and technical constraints.
  • Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor, executing with direction while demonstrating initiative and ownership of defined work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of design systems, component-based thinking, and pattern libraries.

  • Practical knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and usability principles across web and responsive platforms.

  • Confidence working with technical stakeholders and reviewing implementation considerations comfortable reading code and understanding technical constraints (no production development required).

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret adoption, compliance, and usage data to inform improvements.

  • Clear and structured communicator able to articulate standards, risks, and trade-offs to design and engineering audiences.

  • Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and familiarity with collaboration platforms used in enterprise environments.
