What you'll be doing
As a Global Mobility Specialist you are responsible for providing international mobility services to Hitachi employees.
Responsible for end-to-end management of International Assignments. You will also be responsible to manage and provide support to the assignee, business and other stakeholders throughout the assignment life cycle.
Facilitate the administration of mobility-related benefits and compensation packages. You will also work closely with various vendors like immigration, relocation, DSP's, tax etc to ensure smooth assignment implementation.
Responsible for researching, modelling, and evaluating mobility programs as part of Hitachi's Total Rewards Strategy.
Ensure all the immigration and tax compliances are taken care of by partnering with the vendors. Mobility Specialist is knowledgeable on leading practices and understand how mobility fits into business strategy.
You will play a vital role in translating documents/emails (Japanese to English) wherever required to assist the larger global mobility team.
What you bring to the team
We're looking for a team player, who is independent and motivated by delivering great work and is aligned to Hitachi's vision. Some of the skills and experience we look for includes:
Supports the development and implementation of Total Rewards (mobility) strategy, programs, and policies
Researches and proposes mobility program updates based on leading practice findings and analysis
Provides mobility support throughout duration of international assignment
Partners with business managers, BU HR, Total Rewards & Performance Management, and third-party partners to determine and administer relocation package
Manages day to day relationships with mobility partners, international assignees and helps facilitate the resolution of support and service issues
Coordinates relocation logistics between host and home country, including country briefings, cultural assessments, and cultural trainings
Manages immigration for assignees in consultation with immigration vendors. Has a good knowledge of US visas (L1, H1's etc), experienced in handling immigration process for the US and European countries like UK, Switzerland, Italy, Germany etc.
Manages expatriate payroll for assignees spread across different countries and regions.
Based on expatriate individual compensation and benefits entitlement, create monthly payroll input files.
Works closely with tax consultants and is able to manage expatriate tax compliance. Experienced in handling tax notices from both federal and state authorities.
Manages vendor invoices which includes validating the invoices, arranging for vendor payments and recharging wherever required.
Manages end of assignment activities such as repatriation
Serves as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for mobility research and administration inquiry

Other Requirements
Excellent communication skills
At least 3 to 8 years of relevant experience
Vendor management
Experience in writing SOP's & creating process maps.
Knowledge of AssignmentPro - preferred
Experience in expatriate payroll management desired
