Job Description

As a Global Markets DAG Sales Analyst within the North America Structured Investment DAG Sales team, you will collaborate closely with sales teams throughout the trade lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include pricing exotic derivative structures, managing booking and documentation, conducting client analysis, and preparing sales pitches. Additionally, you will compile regular reports on economic and equity market trends and provide market outlooks based on comprehensive research. This role provides the opportunity to develop and price derivative structures using internal models tailored to client needs, initiate and develop trade ideas based on market research and analysis, and create reports to capture product trends. You will be a part of a dynamic team located in the L&T office of J.P. Morgan in Powai, Mumbai, operating in a multi-location setup.

Job Responsibilities

  • provide basic Sales support Collaborate with sales teams throughout the trade lifecycle, including pricing exotic derivative structures, booking, documentation, client analysis, and preparing sales pitches.
  • Monitor Market Development Compile periodic reports on economic and equity market developments, providing market outlooks based on research.
  • Develop Product Pricing and provide pricing for derivative structures using internal models tailored to client needs.
  • Generate and Analyze Idea Initiate and develop trade ideas based on market research and analysis.
  • Create Trade Analytics Report Create reports to capture product trends, such as mark-to-market and redemptions.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Graduates/post-graduates with strong academic records from esteemed universities.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Equity Derivatives and Structured Products in trading, sales, structuring, or research.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong interest in financial markets, particularly derivatives.
  • Excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform well under high stress.
  • Analytical aptitude and ability to learn financial concepts.
  • Ability to function in a multi-location setup.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Familiarity with financial concepts and broader market awareness.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Comfortable working the 330 PM to 1230 AM shift.
  • Proficient in Excel and standard Office suite; knowledge of VBA or any programming language is advantageous.
