India, Hyderabad Thermo-LIMS - SAP Data Specialist

Job Description Summary
This role exists to ensure compliance with GMP and Data Integrity requirements by managing and harmonizing data between Lonza's Laboratory Information Management System (Thermo-LIMS) and SAP. The LIMS / SAP Data Specialist provides technical expertise, first- and second-level support, and oversight of QC workflows, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and seamless integration of laboratory and supply chain data. Acting as a bridge between Quality Control, IT, and Supply Chain, the position safeguards regulatory compliance and operational efficiency across Lonza's manufacturing network.
Key Accountabilities
- Review and approve specifications, templates, analyses, and test plans to ensure proper LIMS-SAP linkage.
- Configure and link new or updated materials in LIMS for seamless SAP integration.
- Develop and validate LIMS calculations and SQL-based queries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage batch releases, shelf-life changes, and returns.
- Maintain Q-picture, inspection lots, pseudo inspection lots, and GRT/AID data in SAP.
- Provide first- and second-level support for user requests (European time zone coverage).
- Investigate and resolve issues in sample management, analysis results, and shelf-life data.
- Ensure harmonization of information across SAP systems (EHS, EWM, ERP).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to LIMS-SAP integration.
- Ensure adherence to GMP and Data Integrity standards in all tasks.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong QC background with hands-on laboratory experience.
- IT expertise, including SQL, calculations, and system troubleshooting.
- Deep knowledge of SAP and LIMS systems (LabWare, STARLIMS, Thermo Fisher SampleManager).
- Basic understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
- Experience with pharma/lab software (Documentum, TrackWise, CisWeb).
- Proficiency in MS Office and comfort with computer-based systems.
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in analytical chemistry, chemistry, biology, or related fields.
- Alternatively, 3+ years of relevant training with strong QC knowledge.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in SCM, IT, QC/QA Pharma, GMP environments.
- Languages: German (business fluent, required); English (business fluent, preferred).
