Job Description

Job Title: General Manager Sales

Location: Delhi (Work from Office)

Working Days: Monday to Saturday, 6 days a week

Experience: Minimum 10 years in B2G and Enterprise sales

Compensation: 12 Lakh CTC + Sales-linked Variable + ESOPs

Reporting To: CRO / Head of Sales

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned sales leader to own and scale our Government and Enterprise business across India. This role is about building predictable revenue, opening large accounts, and creating a strong sales organisation from the ground up.

You will lead national sales strategy, drive key accounts, and build a high-performing field and account management team.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Growth

  • Own pan-India Government and Enterprise sales targets
  • Drive new business acquisition with central ministries, state departments, PSUs, large enterprises, and system integrators
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline across tenders, pilots, and long-term contracts
  • Lead large deal closures, negotiations, and pricing strategy

Government & Enterprise Sales

  • Manage complete B2G sales cycle: opportunity identification, RFP/RFQ tracking, bid management, negotiations, and closures
  • Develop relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, consultants, and implementation partners
  • Work closely with internal teams on proposals, pilots, deployments, and account expansion

Team Building & Leadership

  • Hire, mentor, and manage Sales Managers and Account Managers across regions
  • Set clear targets, KPIs, and review mechanisms
  • Build a disciplined sales cadence with forecasting, reporting, and reviews

Strategy & Execution

  • Define go-to-market strategy for Government and Enterprise segments
  • Work closely with the CRO on revenue planning, market prioritisation, and growth roadmap
  • Provide market feedback to product and leadership teams

Candidate Profile

  • 10+ years of experience in Government (B2G) and Enterprise sales
  • Proven track record of closing large, complex deals
  • Strong understanding of tenders, procurement processes, and public sector sales cycles
  • Experience building and leading sales teams
  • Comfortable with targets, structure, and accountability
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
