GCP Technical lead, GCP

The GCP Cloud & Data Architect will lead the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. This role involves guiding teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence of cloud and data environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of cloud solutions on GCP, including microservices and serverless architectures.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design, deploy, and maintain network architectures on GCP including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, VPNs, and interconnects.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and cost optimization of cloud and data environments.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce quality standards, and promote CI/CD best practices.
• Mentor and manage a team of cloud engineers and data engineers.
• Stay current with new GCP services, tools, and industry trends; evaluate and recommend innovative technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud architecture and deployment issues.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience with GCP services: BigQuery, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Spanner, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Cloud Functions.
• Expertise in Python, SQL, PySpark, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, cloud security principles, and IAM.
• Experience designing scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud solutions and architectures.
• Google Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification; F&A domain knowledge preferred.
