We're Hiring: Fundraising Manager (Bengaluru)

Neonates Foundation of India (NFI) is a Section 8 non-profit organisation committed to reducing infant mortality by providing financial support to underprivileged families whose babies are admitted to NICUs. Through hospital partnerships, NFI ensures timely intervention for critically ill newborns, giving them a chance at survival.

As NFI continues to scale its impact, we are strengthening our fundraising efforts to build a sustainable and predictable funding pipeline.

We are looking for a Fundraising Manager who can drive strategic donor engagement, partnerships, and campaigns to support our mission of saving newborn lives.

Job Description:

The Fundraising Manager will lead the development and implementation of a sustainable fundraising strategy. This role involves identifying new donor opportunities, nurturing existing relationships, and managing high-impact campaigns. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of meeting financial targets in the social sector.

Reporting to the Chief Catalyst / Board of Directors

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan with clear KPIs and diversified revenue streams.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends in philanthropy and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align fundraising goals with the Foundation's programs and scaling needs.

2. Donor Relationship Management

  • Individual Giving: Oversee major donor programs, recurring gift initiatives, and digital crowdfunding campaigns.
  • Corporate Partnerships: Identify and pitch to corporate partners for CSR grants, sponsorships, and employee engagement programs.
  • Trusts & Foundations: Write high-quality grant proposals and manage the reporting cycle for institutional donors.

3. Campaign & Event Management

  • Plan and execute fundraising events (galas, auctions, or big-ticket events) from concept to completion.
  • Design digital fundraising campaigns using social media, email marketing, and peer-to-peer platforms.

4. Data & Reporting

  • Maintain a robust Donor Management System (CRM) to track interactions, donation history and pipelines.
  • Prepare regular reports for the Board of Directors on fundraising progress, ROI, and donor retention rates.
  • Ensure all fundraising activities comply with legal, ethical, and tax regulations

Qualifications

5-8 years of experience in fundraising, sales, or business development, preferably within the nonprofit sector.

Skills & Competencies

  • Experience in fundraising, donor management, or business development.
  • Strong relationship-building and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to convert conversations into funding commitments.
  • Strong documentation and follow-up discipline.
  • Comfort working with targets and measurable outcomes.

Location: NFI Office, Bengaluru (In-person role; travel for donor meetings as required)
