Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer with expertise in Python frameworks (FastAPI/Flask) and Angular to join our dynamic team. You are passionate about building scalable, secure, and web applications, with hands-on experience in backend services, frontend development, and cloud-native architectures. You succeed in collaborative environments, contribute to architectural discussions, and ensure code quality through testing and documentation.
You will report to the Engineering Manager.
Your Responsibilities:
Design scalable end-to-end web applications using Python frameworks (FastAPI/Flask) and Angular.
Improve data models across relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
Develop secure, high performing RESTful APIs and integrate them with frontend components.
Write unit tests, ensuring high code quality and comprehensive technical documentation.
Troubleshoot application and system issues to maintain performance and reliability.
Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Security teams to improve development and deployment workflows.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Contribute to architectural discussions, code reviews, and sprint execution.
Translate functional requirements into technical implementations.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
4-6 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer or in a comparable role.
Strong proficiency in FastAPI and microservices-based architecture.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and KairosDB, including data modelling, indexing, and performance optimisation.
Experience with messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka and MQTT.
Experience working with containerisation and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
Frontend development expertise using Angular (8+), Angular CLI, and TypeScript.
Strong understanding of RxJS, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and responsive UI design.
3+ years of experience building single-page applications and integrating RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with Angular routing, forms, and state management concepts.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
Experience with asynchronous programming frameworks such as asyncio or Celery.
Knowledge of API security standards and authentication mechanisms, including OAuth2 and JWT.
Experience using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo.
Knowledge of code and security analysis tools such as SonarQube and BlackDuck.
