About Us

We're a Toronto-based founder-led media brand producing weekly content across YouTube, Twitter/X (40K+ followers), LinkedIn, and podcasts. Our content covers business strategy, AI, and global founder positioning. We're building a reliable content bench of 2-3 editors for ongoing, consistent work.

The Role

We need a freelance video editor who can handle the full content pipeline from long-form YouTube edits to short-form clips to podcast episodes. This is per-deliverable contract work with weekly volume and room to grow.

Deliverables

YouTube Long-Form (10-15 minutes): Talking head footage with clean cuts, captions/subtitles, b-roll placement, pacing, transitions, and light color correction. One round of revisions included.

Short-Form Clips (30-90 seconds): Extract 3-5 clips per long-form video, formatted for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Twitter. Hook within first 3 seconds, captions required.

Podcast Episodes (30-60 minutes): Audio cleanup, level balancing, intro/outro, and video sync where applicable. Clip extraction from episodes included.

Thumbnails (bonus, not required): CTR-optimized YouTube thumbnails with bold text, face close-ups, and curiosity-gap framing. If this isn't your skill set, no problem we'll hire separately for this.

What We're Looking For

Portfolio showing YouTube editing work for creators, founders, or business content

Clean, modern editing style professional but not overproduced

Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut

Experience with captioning and subtitle design

Strong English communication (you'll receive written briefs and give status updates)

Reliable high-speed internet and consistent availability

Able to deliver a 10-15 minute video edit within 48 hours of receiving footage

Nice to Have

Experience with CapCut, Descript, or Opus Clip for short-form

Basic motion graphics or text animation skills

Understanding of YouTube retention and pacing (not just making it look good making people watch)

Rates

YouTube long-form edit (10-15 min): $20-30 CAD per video

Short-form clip batch (3-5 clips): $5-10 CAD

Podcast episode edit: $20-25 CAD

Thumbnails: $5-10 CAD each (if applicable)

Payment is per deliverable via Wise or Payoneer. No retainers, no monthly commitments. Consistent weekly work for those who deliver.

How This Works

1. Apply with 2-3 links to YouTube videos you've edited (not showreels actual published videos)

2. Include your per-video rate and typical turnaround time

3. If shortlisted, you'll receive raw footage for a paid test edit ($20 CAD)

4. Top performers join the bench and receive ongoing weekly work

We're hiring 2-3 editors so we always have coverage. Volume will increase over time as we scale content production across platforms.

Timeline

Accepting applications now. Test edits will be assigned within days of applying. We're looking to have our bench active by mid-March 2026.
