Role Description

This is a contract, fully remote role for a Freelance Video Editor specializing in story-driven YouTube content and AI-assisted visual storytelling.

The selected candidate will be responsible for transforming long-form talking-head videos into emotionally compelling, retention-focused narratives.

The role goes beyond basic editing and includes cinematic pacing, consistent visual character development, and integrating AI-generated storytelling elements (animated sequences, stylized B-roll, and visual metaphors).

Key responsibilities include:

• Editing long-form YouTube videos (820 minutes)
• Enhancing emotional pacing and narrative tension
• Color grading and sound design for professional finish
• Incorporating motion graphics and subtle visual storytelling elements
• Integrating AI-generated visuals (e.g., stylized characters, consistent visual motifs, narrative sequences)
• Maintaining a cohesive brand identity across all video outputs
• Collaborating on creative direction and visual experimentation
• Meeting structured production timelines

This role requires someone who understands psychological nuance and can visually translate emotional intensity into cinematic storytelling.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent
• Strong color grading and audio balancing skills
• Experience with motion graphics and minimalistic graphic design
• Familiarity with AI visual tools (e.g., AI-generated B-roll, stylized character visuals, or animation tools)
• Strong understanding of YouTube retention dynamics
• Ability to structure narrative arcs from raw talking-head footage
• High attention to emotional detail and pacing
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience in wellness, psychology, or trauma-informed content is preferred
