The Role

We are looking for a customer-obsessed Forward Deployed AI Engineer to work on our client's Voice AI platform. You'll work side-by-side with a collaborative global team of product managers, engineers, and professional services specialists to onboard large enterprise customers; map their business workflows; and design and deploy customized voice AI agents.

This role blends engineering with hands-on customer work. You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy ambiguity, love shipping quickly, and can translate messy business requirements into clear flow diagrams.

This is not a typical support or solutions role; FDEs are engineers who ship. If you enjoy working closely with customers to design real AI systems that go live, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

• Work directly with our client to onboard their enterprise customers onto their low-code Voice AI platform.
• Understand ambiguous business requirements and translate them into Lucid flowcharts.
• Design and configure customized Voice AI agents
• Write, test and iterate on detailed prompts for each customer's unique business requirements.
• Configure tooling to integrate with customer CRMs, ticketing systems, and internal APIs.
• Write and maintain Evals to measure agent quality and catch regressions before they reach production.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in live deployments.
• Create reusable integration patterns, internal tooling, and best practices that scale across customers and use cases.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with some customer-facing work.
• Working times: 3pm to 12:30am IST. Since you will be working very closely with our US-based client and their customers, this is a non-negotiable requirement.
• Strong prompt engineering skills. You have opinions about what works and what doesn't.
• Hands-on experience with low-code orchestration tools such as n8n, Zapier, or Make.
• Experience with JavaScript/Python for customization and debugging.
• Excited to work directly with our client and their enterprise customers.
• Outstanding Communication: Whether you're writing new business requirements, presenting a Lucid flowchart to a product manager, or explaining API integration steps to an engineer, you articulate your thoughts and tailor your message so that everyone understands the big picture as well as relevant details.
• You have incredible attention to detail. Thinking through edge cases is deeply ingrained in your way of working.
• You have a strong bias toward action, ownership, and shipping. You treat every customer deployment as if your name is on the product. Not my problem isn't in your vocabulary. You do whatever it takes to ship on time.
• You thrive in an environment where every project is different. You are comfortable with context-switching across multiple customer deployments without losing execution quality.
• Tons of patience. Wielding AI to your exact needs can be frustrating.
