Ensure allocation of resources required to produce the desired Quality and Quantity of CS2 & H2SO4 during the respective shift
Job Context & Major Challenges
Job Context: CS2 & H2SO4 manufacturing plant is part of Staple Fibre Division, which is a captive plant to support VSF production. Plant has a capacity to produce 25500 TPA of CS2 and 147000 TPA of Acid. CS2 is being used in Viscose process for manufacturing of Viscose Xanthate and there by Viscose staple fibre is produced. H2SO4 is being used in Auxiliary dept. for preparing of Spin bath which is further used in regeneration of Cellulose in spinning. Excess production of CS2 & H2SO4 is sold across in India which is being used various industrial applications.
Job Challenges:1. Producing benchmark product due to the varying Quality of Charcoal availability
- High energy consumption in the process due to usage of old technology
- Reduction of Fugitive emission in the work environment which poses health hazard
- Maintaining of consistent quality with the existing input raw materials
- Carrying out rehabilitation, repair and technological innovations in running plant - sustaining production and quality without sacrificing safety and environment
- Competency of people to carry out the tasks and activities

KRA1 Production Planning & Control
- Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements.
- Assist in new product development and enhancements.
- Conduct daily meetings to keep track of production schedules.
- Ensure that finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Determine equipment, materials and manpower required to complete production.
- Resolve production issues and escalate unresolved issues to management promptly.
- Assist in employee hiring, training, performance evaluation, retention and termination activities.
- Monitor and analyze Downtime with Root cause to reduce its impact on Cost, Quality and Delivery
KRA2 Safety & Environment
- Provide training to employees and contractors (as required) to assure understanding and compliance with Process Safety Standards and requirements of local process safety requirements. (PSM/RMP programs)
- Assist plants in leading Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) for major risk projects by providing expert support in PHA methodologies.
- Participate in Process Safety Event investigations/root cause analysis to provide guidance to all plants. In conjunction with site management teams, track progress of corrective actions where business wide issues are identified.
KRA3 Change Management
- Enable project based problem solving teams at workplace to promote team excellence
KRA4 Customer Centricity
- Managing customer complaint in consultation with CTS
- Ensure Quantity & quality parameters of the products / services supplied to internal and external customers
KRA5 People Management
- Create an enabling environment to discuss and share people issues at workplace
- Identify and facilitate appropriate training of competency gaps with the help of HR department
- Encourage and model the recognition culture at workplace
- Ensure Safety and Environment awareness among employees and training wherever required
