Financial Controller

Jio Payments Bank is looking for a dynamic Chartered Accountant (8+ years experience) to take end-to-end ownership of our financial reporting, taxation, compliance, and finance transformation initiatives. In this role, you will lead a high-performing team and collaborate closely with Group Finance and senior stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Closing: Own monthly, quarterly, and annual closures. Ensure accurate preparation of P&L, Balance Sheets, and strict compliance with Ind AS and Group policies.

Taxation & Compliance: Manage end-to-end Direct and Indirect Tax matters (Income Tax, GST, TDS/TCS) and handle tax assessments, notices, and statutory regulatory submissions.

Audit & Assurance: Act as the primary anchor for statutory and internal auditors, driving the process from planning to closure.

Finance Transformation: Identify and lead automation projects across ERP, workflows, and analytics to reduce manual interventions and operational risk.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Interface with Group Finance, Business, Risk, and Tech teams. Mentor, develop, and lead a dedicated finance team to foster a culture of high performance.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Deep expertise in financial reporting, financial closure, Ind AS, Direct Tax, and GST.
• Proven track record in managing statutory audits and driving finance automation/ERP implementations.
