Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Controller to manage ZingHR's financial operations. The Finance Controller will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls for ZingHR's operations. The ideal candidate should have a solid grounding in accounting principles, a strong understanding of SaaS-based financial models, and hands-on experience managing statutory audits, internal financial controls, and revenue recognition.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:

• Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance.
• Manage all accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, billing, and revenue recognition for SaaS subscriptions.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting to support business goals.
• Oversee cash flow management, working capital monitoring, and fund utilization.

Audit, Compliance & Controls:

• Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, etc.).
• Manage internal and statutory audits, ensuring timely completion and adherence to IFC (Internal Financial Controls).
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.

Strategic & Operational Support:

• Partner with leadership to provide actionable financial insights and analysis for decision-making.
• Support cost optimization, financial automation, and process improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with external partners—auditors, consultants, and banks—to ensure efficient financial operations.
• Assist in financial due diligence and reporting for investors or board presentations, as required.

Team & Collaboration:

• Supervise and guide the finance and accounting team to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Operations, Sales, Procurement) for financial planning and control.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
• 6–10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or controllership, ideally within a SaaS / technology / IT services environment.
• Strong understanding of SaaS revenue models, including deferred revenue, accruals, and subscription accounting.
• Hands-on experience with statutory audits, tax compliance, and internal financial controls.
• Proficiency in ERP/Finance systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or Tally.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have:

• Exposure to multi-entity or global operations.
• Experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) and automation tools.
• Knowledge of funding, investor reporting, or SaaS metrics (ARR, CAC, churn, etc.).
