Financial Controller

About the Role

We are looking for a Finance Controller to manage financial controllership, reporting, compliance and finance operations across our India, UAE and Singapore entities.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified CA with strong Indian GAAP knowledge, international accounting exposure and a strong understanding of Transfer Pricing, POEM and cross-border transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own accounting, financial controls and month-end / year-end closing across group entities.
• Prepare and drive monthly MIS, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage group reporting, consolidation and inter-company reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Indian GAAP / Ind AS and coordinate with teams handling UAE/Singapore accounting and IFRS requirements.
• Lead statutory and tax audits and act as the key interface with Big 4 / reputed audit firms.
• Coordinate with tax advisors on Transfer Pricing, POEM, PE, withholding tax and international transactions.
• Oversee cross-border payments, inter-company transactions and treasury / cash-flow reporting. Develop robust finance processes, controls and SOPs as the group scales.
• Provide management with financial analysis and insights for business and strategic decisions.

Candidate Profile

Mandatory Requirements

• CA with 8–10 years post-qualification / relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Indian GAAP / Ind AS.
• Proven experience in MIS, management reporting and financial controllership.
• Strong understanding of Transfer Pricing and international tax concepts.
• Prior experience dealing with Big 6 auditors - either in a Big 6 environment or as the finance owner managing Big 6 audits.
• Excellent Excel / financial modelling and analytical skills.

Strongly preferred:

• Exposure to UAE and/or Singapore accounting, taxation and compliance.
• Experience with POEM, PE and cross-border structuring.
• Experience in an international/multinational organisation.
• Experience in technology, digital, media, consulting or other asset-light businesses. Prior Experience of working for a digital advertising company is preferred.

What We Are Looking For

Someone who is technically strong, commercially minded and hands-on - capable of challenging auditors and advisors, understanding the business behind the numbers, building robust financial controls and independently managing a multi-country finance function.

This is not a traditional accounting/compliance role. The candidate should be comfortable working directly with senior management and taking ownership of group-level finance and reporting. We have a strong compliance and accounting team, and the person will be working in parallel with the finance team.
