About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Accountant


In this role, you will:

  • Provide consultation to more experienced leadership for financial accounting related matters
  • Perform complex activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts, developing financial statements and regulatory reports
  • Gather and review financial data for financial and regulatory reports
  • Review data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations and certifications
  • Analyze projects relating to financial accounting procedures, methods or systems
  • Perform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with internal controls policies
  • Provide functional advice and training to individuals
  • Provide support for compliance and risk management requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with stakeholders throughout the enterprise


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • CA/ ICWA with 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Hands on experience on Microsoft applications
  • Strong demonstration of financial/ Indian accounting acumen


Job Expectations:

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations

  • Perform timely and accurate reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items, ensuring appropriate documentation and corrective entries.
  • Ensure reconciliations adhere to company policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements.
  • Physical Verification of Assets

  • Coordinate and support periodic physical verification of fixed assets.
  • Reconcile physical counts with fixed asset registers and accounting records.
  • Identify and report discrepancies, obsolete, or non‑utilized assets.
  • Support to make necessary accounting entries consequent to the results of the physical verification exercise
  • Records Management

  • Perform monthly review of the records management data and take appropriate action in case of any discrepancies/missing information etc
  • Ensure compliance with record retention policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits wherever required on the records management
  • Performing necessary checks to ensure proper digital record backup in designated internal drives
  • Other activities

  • Act as Business Resiliency Manager for the Legal entity controllership team and co-ordinate with the individual managers to ensure the BCP data is upto date and accurate
  • Perform monthly aging analysis of staff advances and post required accounting entries.
  • Monitor employee exit data and coordinate with HR by sharing relevant finance inputs for full and final settlements.
  • Perform annual reconciliations related to Foreign banks & accounts related activity
  • Any other activity that may be assigned from time to time
