As the Financial Accountant,you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting function, including books of accounts, statutory filings, audits, and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities
Complete Accounting
- Maintain the complete books of accounts in accordance with Indian GAAP and Ind AS.
- Record and reconcile revenue, expenses, accruals, provisions, depreciation, and fixed assets.
- Perform all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
- Maintain general ledger, trial balance, and all control accounts.
Cash Flow & Banking
- Manage bank accounts, payments, receipts, and reconciliations.
- Track cash flow, receivables, and payables.
- Handle forex receipts and reconciliations for international clients.
Client Billing & Revenue Accounting
- Raise customer invoices, track collections, and manage ageing.
- Account for unbilled revenue, deferred revenue, and contract balances.
- Ensure revenue recognition in line with Ind AS 115 for IT services and project-based contracts.
Payables, Payroll & Expense Accounting
- Process vendor bills, employee reimbursements, and statutory payments.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll accounting, including PF, ESI, and TDS.
- Track advances, deposits, and pre-paid expenses.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and file GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory returns.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act requirements and financial statements.
- Manage FEMA and foreign inward remittance accounting, where applicable.
Audit & External Coordination
- Act as the single point of contact for statutory auditors, tax auditors, and consultants.
- Prepare audit schedules, explanations, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure closure of audit points and maintenance of audit-ready records.
Controls & Process Discipline
- Establish and maintain accounting controls, approval workflows, and documentation.
- Ensure data integrity between accounting, payroll, and billing systems.
- Maintain records in a manner that supports internal and external reviews.
Who you are:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CA / ACCA / CPA / CIMA or equivalent (Completed or in progress)
- 5 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a software, IT services, or professional services environment
- Experience working with or reporting to a European parent company will be a strong advantage
- Exposure to IFRS and local statutory reporting
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Tally and Excel
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-border stakeholders
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a startup or fast-changing environment
- Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently
