Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a Finance Manager with 8–15 years of progressive experience in finance, cost accounting, and procurement. This role provides strategic oversight of financial management, cost controls, procurement efficiency, and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate will be a commercially-minded leader with a strong grip on numbers, systems, and cross-functional team management, ideally within the design, interiors, or manufacturing sectors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Financial Management & Compliance
- Lead all aspects of financial operations including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure statutory compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable tax laws.
- Coordinate with auditors and legal advisors to ensure timely filings and accurate disclosures.
- Maintain timely and accurate MIS, cash flow forecasts, and fund flow statements.
- Develop financial controls and internal audit mechanisms across the organization.
2. Cost Accounting & Analysis
- Oversee cost structures across product lines, custom orders, and turnkey projects.
- Implement standard costing, BOM tracking, and item-wise profitability reporting.
- Monitor cost variances and margins to support informed pricing and budgeting decisions.
- Recommend and implement cost reduction strategies.
3. Procurement & Vendor Oversight
- Supervise the end-to-end procurement process including vendor management, purchase approvals, and order tracking.
- Negotiate best terms and pricing across materials and services, aligned with quality benchmarks.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure consistency in delivery and pricing.
- Drive procurement efficiency through SOPs and approval workflows.
4. Systems & Process Development
- Oversee implementation and optimization of ERP/accounting software (Tally, Zoho, SAP).
- Design workflows for accounting, purchasing, and cost monitoring functions.
- Automate reporting and approval systems to enhance efficiency and transparency.
5. Team Leadership & Strategic Planning
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team including accountants, procurement officers, and MIS personnel.
- Align finance function with business goals and strategic initiatives.
- Participate in leadership discussions on profitability, investments, and expansion.
- Prepare financial dashboards and reports for board and investor presentations, if required.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- M.COM OR B.COM+CA Inter
- 8–10 years of experience in finance, cost accounting, and procurement management
- Proven leadership skills with ability to manage cross-functional teams
- Expertise in financial analysis, compliance, budgeting, and reporting
- Hands-on experience with Tally Prime, Zoho Books, or similar ERP platforms
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking ability
