Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Finance Manager, based in Bangalore with the flexibility to work remotely for part of the time. The Finance Manager will be responsible for coordinating with the outsouced CA team, managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing financial data to support strategic decision-making. Daily tasks will include preparing financial statements, monitoring expenditures, ensuring compliance with all financial regulations, supporting audits, and working with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with organizational goals.

We are seeking a someone who is more than just a number-cruncher. We need a strategic backbone for our organization, someone who deeply understands our business model and can translate financial data into actionable growth strategies.

In this role, you will lead the finance function with a focus on precision, compliance, and strategic foresight. You will manage the entire lifecycle of financial operations, from high-level budgeting to the granular management of contracts and invoices, ensuring our mission for social impact is supported by a robust financial foundation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Financial Management: Lead financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to support long-term organizational goals and strategic decision-making.
  • Business Intelligence: Act as a true business partner by analyzing financial data to provide insights into operational efficiency and project profitability.
  • End-to-End Invoice Management: Oversee the complete accounts receivable and payable cycle, ensuring timely billing, collections, and vendor payments.
  • Contract Management: Review and manage financial terms within client and vendor contracts, ensuring all agreements align with company risk profiles and revenue recognition policies.
  • Tooling & Automation: Maintain and optimize our financial tech stack, with a specific focus on Zoho Books for seamless accounting and reporting.
  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure absolute adherence to all financial regulations and tax compliance; lead the preparation for annual audits and internal reviews.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with leadership and project teams to align financial objectives with societal growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Atleast 1 year experience in similar role.
  • Atleast a Bachelor's degree in finance. Masters is preferred.
