Manager – Finance

Role Overview

The Manager – Finance will support the Head of Finance in managing the financial operations of the Illinois Institute of Technology Mumbai campus. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust MIS, procurement governance, statutory compliance, budgeting support, and efficient financial operations.

The position requires a detail-oriented finance professional with strong analytical capabilities, expertise in MIS reporting, and sound knowledge of procurement and vendor management. The individual will work closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure financial discipline, operational efficiency, and adherence to organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Operations

• Manage day-to-day finance operations, accounting, banking, and payment processes.
• Coordinate with outsourced accounting partners for timely month-end closures and financial records.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure tracking.

2. MIS & Reporting

• Prepare monthly MIS reports, dashboards, and financial analyses.
• Monitor budget vs. actual performance and highlight key variances.
• Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making.
• Procurement & Vendor Management
• Manage procurement processes, purchase orders, and vendor onboarding.
• Coordinate vendor evaluations, negotiations, and contract administration.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and approval workflows.

3. Compliance & Controls

• Support GST, TDS, tax, statutory, and audit compliance.
• Maintain financial controls, documentation, and audit readiness.
• Ensure adherence to finance policies and regulatory requirements.

4. Process Improvement

• Improve finance processes through automation and reporting enhancements.
• Support implementation of ERP systems and standardized finance practices.

Qualifications

• CA /CA Inter / CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience in finance operations, MIS reporting, procurement, and compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems, advanced Excel, and Power BI is preferred.
