Job Description

Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Onsite – (Indiranagar) Bangalore

Experience: 5-6 yrs

Type: Full-Time

Department: Finance & Accounts

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting & Financial Operations:

Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring strict adherence to applicable accounting standards, internal controls, and IFC policies.

Conduct periodic reviews of General Ledger (GL), accounting processes, and vouchers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Manage accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and Vendor Reconciliations.

  • Financial Reporting & Closures:

Manage Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual financial closings, including preparation of:

  • Profit & Loss Account
  • Balance Sheet
  • Cash Flow Statements
  • Investor and Management MIS Reports

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reconciliations, and MIS reports for management review.

  • Statutory Compliance & Taxation:

Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements related to Direct and Indirect Taxes including GST,

TDS, PF, PT, etc.

Handle filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual returns) and TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.) within prescribed timelines.

Track regulatory updates, ensure timely payments, and maintain proper documentation for all compliance activities.

  • Audit Coordination:

Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and internal audit teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of statutory and internal audits.

Support audit processes by preparing required schedules, explanations, and documentation

  • Business Support & Stakeholder Engagement:

Provide financial insights, analysis, and guidance to internal departments and senior management for effective decision-making.

Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with external auditors, bankers, and financial institutions.

  • Continuous Improvement & Compliance Updates:

Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, taxation laws, and regulatory requirements.

Recommend and implement improvements in accounting processes, controls, and reporting systems.

Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned from time to time to support Team and organizational objectives.

Professional Qualifications Or Prior Experiences

  • CA (Inter) (mandatory) and B. Com
  • 4–5 years of hands-on experience in accounting, finance operations, and statutory compliances
  • Startup / high-growth environment experience preferred (EdTech/digital-first is a plus)
  • Technical Skills:
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Tally or similar ERP (Zoho / NetSuite)
  • Experience in MIS preparation, variance analysis, and financial reporting
  • Good understanding of internal financial controls (IFC)
