Directly reporting to the subsidiary General Manager, the Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Finance and IT functions for our office in Kolkata, India.

This role requires a strong international mindset, proven experience working in multinational environments, and the ability to operate across different time zones, cultures, and business practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate and timely monthly management reports, including P&L and balance sheets
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes, advising management on all financial matters
  • Manage company tax reporting (direct and indirect), along with all other compliance including corporate filings etc
  • Ensure effective and efficient business operations
  • Oversee invoicing activities and the issuance of customer statements
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including related analysis
  • Manage risk, liaise with auditors, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Support cross-border financial coordination within an international corporate structure
  • Lead and mentor a dedicated team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence

Requirements:

  • Exceptional understanding and experience with Month End Financial reporting
  • 5+ years leadership in Finance roles
  • Deep knowledge of Ind AS
  • Deep knowledge of GST
  • Indian statutory & tax compliance
  • Relationship with local auditors and tax authorities
  • Fluent in English.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory

Skills:

  • High level attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong financial acumen with a track record of effective financial management
