Job Title: Finance Controller I - PIC

The Finance Controller is responsible for managing the financials of the assigned businesses and functions in PIC Bangalore. In this role, you will report to the Finance Business Partner for Philips Innovation Campus, Bangalore.

Your role:

As a Finance Controller, you will independently drive value creation working closely with the assigned businesses and functions

  • Influencing and working with businesses and functions for AOP and forecast/outlook to achieve operational, financial and strategic objectives

  • Manage financials and deliver actuals in line with AOP and forecast/outlook

  • Support business decisions by means of sound business analytics

  • Provide solid analysis for variance, cost insights, margin analysis and business reviews on a periodic basis with PIC team and global business controllers

  • Coordinate with Accounting Operations, Fiscal, and other finance verticals for timely MEC and YEC activities

  • Manage governance of business workflows for PO, invoice payment, SOW, contingent workforce, etc.

  • Ensure thorough analysis, review and approval of R&D business cases for capex and other investment plans

  • Review and monitor productivity and efficiency improvements by businesses

  • Performance management with focus on cost competitiveness and value creation

  • Identify risks and opportunities to current financial projections and take corrective actions where needed

  • Drive compliance related to STPI, imports/exports, TP and treasury requirements

  • Maintain solid internal controls

  • Align with global R&D controllers for financial plans and execution

  • Support internal and external audits by coordinating with finance and other stakeholders

  • Support process simplification and improvements through AI, automation and tech-enabled solutions

To be able to drive the business value in the right direction and to ensure financial sound decision making, we are looking for an experienced, well-rounded, results-driven Finance professional with:

  • Chartered Accountant / MBA with finance experience (8-12 years) including business partnering, FP&A, Accounting, Internal Controls and business decision support. Direct and Indirect tax knowledge is required.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to independently understand and explain impact of decisions on business results and ability to translate into financial consequences.

  • Experience in Software Services industry with a mindset to drive and enable software development strategy will be an added advantage

  • Working experience in a multinational, quickly transforming environment comfort working in large, global, matrix organizations and driving decision making in a fast-paced international environment.

  • Inspiring stakeholder management skills that collaborate effectively throughout the global Philips organization and influence, motivate, engage and align the team, partners, market and other stakeholders at all levels
