Role Overview

The Finance Business Partner will act as a strategic advisor to the business, owning the end-to-end Business P&L while driving strong inventory control, working capital management, pricing analysis, and product costing.

The role will closely collaborate with leadership, operations, supply chain, and sales teams to improve profitability, cash flow, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business P&L Ownership

  • Own and manage complete Business / BU P&L, including revenue, cost, margins, and profitability
  • Lead annual budgets, forecasts, and rolling outlooks in alignment with business goals
  • Perform variance analysis (Actual vs Budget / Forecast) and provide actionable insights
  • Partner with business leaders on strategic initiatives, growth plans, and cost optimization

2. Inventory Control & Working Capital Management

  • Monitor and control inventory across RM, WIP, and FG
  • Drive inventory optimization, ageing analysis, and slow-moving / obsolete stock actions
  • Track and improve working capital metrics—inventory turns, receivables, payables, and cash conversion cycle
  • Work closely with SCM and operations teams to improve cash flow and reduce capital employed

3. Pricing & Commercial Analysis

  • Support pricing decisions through margin, contribution, and profitability analysis
  • Conduct customer- and product-level pricing evaluations, discount impact analysis, and commercial feasibility studies
  • Support negotiations with data-backed financial insights

4. Product Costing & Margin Improvement

  • Own and validate product costing models (standard and actual)
  • Analyze BOM costs, conversion costs, overhead absorption, and cost variances
  • Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and procurement teams on cost reduction initiatives
  • Support new product costing and investment / business case evaluations

5. Management Reporting & Decision Support

  • Prepare MIS, dashboards, and performance reviews for senior management
  • Deliver scenario, sensitivity, and profitability analysis to support decision-making
  • Ensure data accuracy, governance, and consistency across financial reports

Qualifications & Experience

  • CA with 4 – 6 years of experience in Business Finance / FP&A / Commercial Finance
  • Strong exposure to P&L management, pricing, costing, inventory, and working capital
  • Manufacturing, engineering, or product-based industry experience preferred
  • Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and presentation skills
